The entire Nilachal Hills are crowded with saints and monks in red-saffron clothes, smeared with ash. Among them are Tantra saints and sadhaks dressed in black.

Goddess Kamakhya Devi was incarnated at 2:56:27 PM on Sunday. Her Nivrtti will be on Wednesday, June 25 at 3:19:29 PM. After the Nivrtti, the daily puja will be completed in the early morning and the main gate of the temple will be opened for devotees and visitors.

On the occasion of Ambubachi, devotees and saints have been gathering at Nilachal Hills for the past few days. Since the day of Ambubachi's auspiciousness yesterday, not only the temple premises, but the entire Nilachal Hills is filled with the hustle and bustle of devotees and saints. On the occasion of Ambubachi, numerous devotees from home and abroad come to the Goddess Kamakhya temple to chant and complete their sadhana.

Monks, saints, and great men have come and gathered in large numbers. The saints are engaged in spiritual practices according to the rules. Some are performing Yagya for the welfare of the world. Kamakhya Temple administrative sources claim that more than 10 lakh devotees and saints arrived on the second day of Ambubachi Mahayoga on Monday. Meanwhile, various organizations and institutions of the state have joined hands to make the Ambubachi Mela a success. Various organizations including Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Marwari Yuva Samaj and several others are providing free drinking water to the devotees visiting the fair on their personal initiative. They will be distributing drinking water to the devotees in this manner for the next few days of the fair.

On the other hand, on the occasion of Ambubachi Mahayoga, the General Administration of Kamrup Metro District and the Police Commissionerate of Guwahati have issued several strict restrictions. These restrictions have been issued to ensure the convenience and safety of lakhs of devotees, said an administrative official. Guidelines have been issued regarding when and how devotees can travel and stay at Kamakhya Dham during the ongoing Ambubachi. Apart from this, special attention is being paid to the cleanliness and hygiene of the temple.
