Barak Valley News : A mother lost her life in a brutal attack by her estranged son. The gruesome murder took place on Sunday morning in Umednagar area of Lala town. After the incident Lala police have arrested the killer's son, Mamdeep Nath. Along with this, Lala police have recovered the frozen body of his dead mother, Manjurani Nath and sent it to Hailakandi SK Roy Civil Hospital for post-mortem.
As soon as the news of this brutal murder spread, there was
a sensation in the entire Lala area. After the incident, Manjurani Nath's
brother Tapan Nath filed a case against his blasphemous nephew at Lala police
station.
It is learnt that the killer Mamadeep's mother Manjurani
Nath (48) was cutting grass for the cows with her younger son Ratnadeep Nath on
Sunday morning. It was around 7:45 in the morning. Meanwhile, the elder son
Mamadeep Nath, who was still at home, started arguing with his mother about
family matters. In anger, he dragged his mother to the pond in the house.
Finally, he dragged her into the pond, submerged her waist-deep in water, and
strangled her with his feet. In this situation, the younger son shouted,
"They are killing my mother," and when people around came to rescue
her, the killer Mamadeep threatened to do the same to anyone who came to rescue
her.
In this situation, the younger son, who was confused, ran to
call his uncle Tapan Nath who was in Lala. In the meantime, a call was received
from the neighboring house on his mobile phone about the incident. The uncle,
upon receiving the news through his mobile phone, quickly brought his younger
nephew with him from the road on his way to his sister's house. When he
arrived, he saw his nephew, who had killed his mother like a pervert, standing
under water with his feet on her neck. The news reached Lala police. Lala
police station OC Rajen Rangmai quickly reached the spot with a team.
Meanwhile, the killer boy was not afraid even after seeing the police.

Finally, others tied the killer boy with a rope and pulled
him to the shore with the help of the police. At the same time, the body of
Manjurani Nath, who was in the grip of the killer boy under the water, was
recovered and quickly taken to the Lala Primary Health Center. The doctor on
duty there declared Manjurani dead. From there, the frozen body was taken to
Hailakandi Civil Hospital for autopsy. A sensational situation arose in Lala
surrounding this horrific murder.
According to local sources, Mamdeep Nath had been behaving
strangely for the past two to four days. Incidentally, Manjurani's husband,
policeman Manik Kumar Nath, died about three months ago. The killer's son Lala
is in the police station lock-up.
